Questions?
What Does the Scholarship Pay For?
We pay for tuition, books, and fees for up to 2.5 academic years.
*The scholarship cannot pay for: Housing, living expenses, transportation, laptops, program tools, or flight simulator fees in the aviation program.
Who Is Eligible?
All Cook County High School seniors graduating with at least a 2.0 GPA are eligible. You can study anything you’d like and change majors (or campuses) anytime you’d like, too!
Where Can I Go?
You can attend: Lake Superior College, Fond du Lac Tribal & Community College or any of the six Minnesota North College campuses: Itasca, Vermilion, Rainy River, Hibbing, or Mesabi Range in Virginia or Eveleth.
All of our partners are part of the MN State System, offering: Easy transfers, strong campus resources and supports, tons of academic and athletic programs, and great student clubs and associations. All have campus housing options, too.
We’re big fans of our college partners, and we hope you are, too!
Click on the school logos below to learn more about each campus.
We Provide Support!
Providing you with ongoing support is just as important to us as paying your tuition.
We provide our students one-to-one personalized support and encouragement, tailored financial classes, monthly e-newsletters, and help with: Completing the FAFSA, understanding financial aid, registering for classes, college tours, learning public transit, budgeting, and connecting with campus and community resources.
How Do I Apply?
Applications shouldn’t be stressful, so don’t stress!
Applications are open each year March 15 – April 15.
We ask you to submit your: CCHS Transcript, 2 Letters of Support, your College Acceptance Letter (or email), and to answer a few short essay questions about your experiences and your goals.
Awards are presented at the CCHS Awards Ceremony each May.
